Abstract

Vizualizacija je učinkovit način izmenjave podatkov med računalnikom in človekom, zato lahko tudi zvok intuitivno predstavimo na vizualni način. Eden izmed boljših načinov je vizualizacija surovih zvočnih podatkov z uporabo valovne oblike, ki jo uporabimo tudi pri implementaciji programske rešitve diplomske naloge. Na podlagi obstoječe interaktivne karte slovenskih narečnih besedil zajamemo zahteve za novo programsko rešitev, ki nudi boljšo uporabniško izkušnjo za predvajanje in prikaz narečnih besedil. Z uporabo ogrodja Svelte in knjižnice Wavesurfer.js razvijemo spletno orodje za pregledovanje in sinhroniziranje transkripcije z zvočnim posnetkom. Postopek implementacije je opisan s pomočjo izsekov kode posameznih komponent in zaslonskih posnetkov končnega uporabniškega vmesnika.

Secondary title: An online tool for synchronous playback and editing of audio recordings and text transcriptions
Secondary abstract: Graphical representation of data is an efficient interface for data interchange between computers and humans. Therefore even audio could be reasonably visually represented. Waveforms are one of the most intuitive ways of frame audio data visualisation, so they are used in the implementation of this thesis’ software solution. Functional and non-functional requirements are defined with the objective to improve user experience of the existing web application that shows the interactive map of Slovene dialects. There is a need to improve the existing audio player and visualisation of transcription. Open-source framework Svelte and Wavesurfer.js Javascript library are used to develop the online tool for viewing and synchronizing the transcription with audio recording. Implementation is described using code snippets of main components and using screenshots of final user interface. Integration of developed tool into the existing web application acts as the evaluation of software solution.
