Abstract

V diplomski nalogi smo analizirali, kako so izbrana slovenska uveljavljena medijska podjetja, ki so v preteklosti distribuirala vsebino izključno preko klasičnega radia, klasične televizije ali tiskanih medijev, prilagodila distribucijo svojih vsebin glede na sposobnosti in priložnosti novih medijev, kot so družbena omrežja in spletni portali. Zaradi dinamičnosti medijskega področja smo v teoretičnem delu naloge izpostavili trenutno uporabo družbenih omrežij v Sloveniji, prednosti in slabosti novih medijev ter najbolj obiskane spletne strani v Sloveniji. Ugotovili smo, da sta med družbenimi omrežji bila najpogosteje uporabljena Facebook in Instagram, v kontekstu digitalne distribucije zvočnih in podkast vsebin pa družbeno omrežje SoundCloud.

Secondary title: The response of media companies to challenges of new media and the digital distribution
Secondary abstract: In the thesis we analysed how selected Slovenian established media companies, which in the past distributed content exclusively via traditional radio, traditional television or print media, adapted the distribution of their content according to the possibilities and opportunities of new media, such as social networks and platforms. Due to the rapidly changing media sector, the theoretical part of the dissertation presents characteristics of the current use of social media in Slovenia, the advantages and disadvantages of new media and the most visited websites in Slovenia. In the empirical part, the results show that Facebook and Instagram tend to be the most frequently used social media and that SoundCloud is the most popular choice for digital distribution of audio and podcast content.
