Secondary abstract: | The study presents a survey of copper(II) complexes with piperazine and some of its substituted derivatives. It includes apart from piperazine complexes also the ones with 1-methylpiperazine, 1-ethylpiperazine and N-(2-hydroxyethyl)piperazine. The survey is focused on the piperazine coordination mode. There are many complexes with piperazine and markedly less with other ligands. One or both amine nitrogen atoms are seen to participate in coordination to the metal. Some complexes reveal also a protonated form of the ligand that is coordinated through the non-protonated amine moiety. |
