Abstract

Dandanes je poznavanje mehanizmov optimizacije pri prevajalniku bistvenega po- mena za pisanje visokozmogljive programske opreme. Ker je omenjeno področje precej kompleksno, je za večino programskih inženirjev tuje. V tem diplomskem delu analiziramo optimizacije, ki jih opravljajo prevajalniki jezika C++. S pomočjo programskega bremena algoritma jSO izvedemo meritve učinkovitosti optimizacije generirane kode. Z uporabo teh meritev nato poiščemo in izvedemo morebitne izbolj- šave implementacije algoritma jSO.

Secondary title: Analysis of C++ compiler optimizations with the software load of the jSO algorithm
Secondary abstract: Nowadays knowledge of compiler optimization mechanisms is essential for writing high-performance software. Because the mentioned area is quite complex, it is for- eign to most software engineers. In this work we analyze the optimizations used by C++ compilers. With the help of the software load of the jSO algorithm we perform measurements of the optimization in the generated code. Using these mea- surements we then look for and perform possible improvements to the jSO algorithm implementation.
