Abstract

Dandanes se morajo podjetja vedno znova in znova vprašati, kaj jim bo prineslo konkurenčno prednost pred ostalimi podjetji.

Secondary title: Knowledge management in the company I.S.P. d.o.o.
Secondary abstract: Nowadays companies have to ask themselves over and over again what will bring them a competitive advantage over other companies. There is a huge supply and demand in the market. The opportunities that a company has at all times are innumerable but only when the company knows how to take advantage of them. Businesses often go into a state of survival instead of striving for development, progress, and new higher goals. Companies need new ideas, concepts, technologies, process and therefore must follow constant development. Development is brought by knowledge, which is managed through knowledge management. That way we can manage the knowledge of employees, of the organization, of the market,… Knowledge is the key to progress, if only we know how to direct it and use it to our advantage. Therefore we need to direct employees, processes, and technology to encourage a way of organizational life that allows employees to think and act creatively for the benefit of the company and for the lasting success and development of the organization. For this purpose we have studied the field of knowledge management with a research in this master's thesis. Therefore we asked ourselves four key questions about how the acquisition, transfer and storage of knowledge takes place in the company, and the last question is whether employees and management in the company participate in knowledge management activities. In this way, we were able to give the company further suggestions and guidelines for better knowledge management. Among the most important, we could highlight the motivation of employees to share and store knowledge, review of information tools and the appropriate design of central document systems and data base, electronic storage of knowledge and, above all, encourage employees and reward them for achieving common goals.
