Abstract

Magistrsko delo obravnava besedni red v govorih Vipavske doline. Ob zgodovinskem pregledu obravnave besednega reda v slovnicah in posameznih razpravah podrobneje prikazuje nadgrajevanje teorije o besednem redu.

Secondary title: Word order in spoken language in the Vipava Valley
Secondary abstract: The thesis discusses the word order in the dialects of the Vipava Valley, in south-western Slovenia. It further develops the theory on word order through a historical overview of the issue of word order in grammar books and through individual discussions. The paper also studies fundamental dialectological debates which include discussions on syntax. The spoken language of the Vipava Valley was analysed based on this works. Five villages were taken in consideration: the spoken language of the villages of Otlica, Skrilje, Potoče, Kamnje and Dobravlje was analysed; first at phrase level (nominal, adjectival and adverbial phrases), then with regard to clitics (at the beginning and in the middle of the clitic order) and finally with regard to the use of adverbs and grammatical particles. Beside the material are written examples of divergence from the standard language. These examples, based on the number of occurrences, later divided into three groups of characteristics: those which are present in all dialects (and beyond), those which are present in all the texts, but have different frequencies of use, and those which are only found in certain dialects.
