magistrsko delo
Abstract
Velika tekstilna proizvodnja ima za posledico vse večjo akumulacijo tekstilnega odpada in zaskrbljujoče okoljske probleme. Prav zaradi omenjene problematike so zelo pomembne študije na področju recikliranja in ponovne uporabe tekstilnega odpada. Namen tega magistrskega dela je bil proučiti ustrezne pristope recikliranja odpadnih sintetičnih in naravnih vlaken.

Study of suitable approaches for textile waste recycling - pyrolysis and hydrolysis |
Secondary abstract: |
Large-scale textile production results in an increasing accumulation of textile waste and worrying environmental problems. Due to this issue, studies in the field of recycling and reuse of textile waste are very important. The purpose of this master's thesis was to examine appropriate approaches for synthetic and natural fibers recycling.
In the master's thesis, we focused on the tertiary category of recycling textile waste - polyethylene terephthalate (PET), cellulose, their mixtures and wool. In the first part, we performed neutral and alkaline hydrolysis of synthetic fibers - dyed and unstained PET. In the second part, we investigated whether thermal decomposition - pyrolysis is suitable for both synthetic and natural fibers as a recycling method.
Based on the results, we found that the most suitable approach for synthetic fibers recycling is a 30-minute alkaline hydrolysis at 250 °C and 40 bar. In addition, pyrolysis is more suitable for natural fibers such as cellulose and wool. In the thermal decomposition of cellulose, we obtained more liquid product, unlike pyrolysis of wool where we get less liquid product. |
