Abstract

V diplomski nalogi bo teoretično raziskana in empirično osvetljena ideologija "(tekočega) strahu" (Bauman, 2006, str. 21), ena izmed poglavitnih značilnosti sodobne "tekoče moderne" (Bauman, 2002, str. 154) družbene realnosti, vpete v (hiperpotrošniški) kapitalistični sistem. Ta namreč vse pogosteje in hitreje zaposluje življenjske poti (visoko) individualiziranih, fragmentirano fleksibilnih posameznikov 21. stoletja. Ideologija, družbeno konstruiranega, "tekočega strahu" (prav tam, str. 21) izvira iz posameznikove negotovosti nad njegovim nadaljnjim življenjskim potekom, generira pa občutka tesnobe in ranljivosti, ki sta poglavitna pokazatelja dotičnega strahu. Sociološki pogled je tisti, ki bo skušal uvideti družbeno konstruiran izvor, značaj in namen strahu ter njegov prikrit asortiman dominantno ideološke narave, ki ustvarja in krepi mehanizem manipulacijskega nadzora. Empirični del diplomske naloge s pomočjo fokusne skupine mladih (med 19. in 30. letom starosti) nakazuje, kako prepoznava in dojema dinamiko visoko moderne ideologije strahu izbran vzorec študentske populacije v Sloveniji oziroma katera so tista področja njihovega vsakdanjega življenja, na katera omenjena ideologija učinkuje v največji meri.

Secondary title: Ideology of fear in everyday life of youth (in Slovenia)
Secondary abstract: The thesis will theoretically explore and empirically illuminate the "ideology of (liquid) fear", one of the main features of the modern "liquid modern" (Bauman, 2002, p. 154), embedded in the (hyperconsumer) capitalist system. The latter increasingly employs the life paths of (highly) individualized, fragmented-flexible individuals of the 21st century. The ideology of a socially constructed "liquid fear" (ibid, p. 21) stems from an individual's uncertainty about his or her further life course, but generates feelings of anxiety and vulnerability that are major indicators of the fear in question. The sociological view is the one that will try to see the socially constructed origin, character and purpose of fear and its hidden assortment of a predominantly ideological nature, which creates and strengthens the mechanism of manipulative control. The empirical part of the diploma thesis, with the help of a focus group of young people (between 19 and 30 years of age), indicates how a selected sample of the student population in Slovenia recognizes and perceives the dynamics of a highly modern ideology of fear, or the areas of their daily lives that are most affected by this ideology.
