Abstract

Požari v naravi spadajo med glavne naravne katastrofe. Slovenija ima kar 56 % celotne površine gozdnate. To predstavlja potrebo veliki skrbi in zaščiti pred požari. Veliko dejavnikov vpliva na nastanek požara in njegovo širjenje. Pomembni dejavniki so lega, letni čas, padavine, vetrovi, rastlinje in temperatura . Ugotovili smo, da je največ naravnih požarov zgodaj spomladi in v drugi polovici poletja. Največ požarov je na Krasu saj tam pade zelo malo dežja. To povzroči, da se zemlja izsuši in pripomore k hitrejšemu izsuševanju rastlinstva. V takšnih razmerah požar hitro nastane in napreduje z veliko hitrostjo.

Secondary title: Wildfires from 2005 to 2019 in Slovenija
Secondary abstract: Wildfires are among the most probable natural disasters. Slovenia has 56 % of forest area, which represents a great deal of risk and an increased need for fire safety. Many factors influence the occurrence of fire and its spread. Important factors are location, time of year, precipitation, winds, vegetation, and temperature. We found that most natural fires occur in early spring and in the second half of summer. Most fires occur in the Karst region because of the low precipitation in the region. This causes the soil and vegetation to dry out faster. In such conditions, a fire breaks out quickly and spreads at greater speed. The technology for observing fires is becoming more and more advanced, and lowers the occurrence of wildfires in such areas. Making everyone, especially the younger generations, aware of forest laws and steps to undertake in case of fires has become an important issue.
