Abstract

Funkcionalnost programskega jezika Java bi lahko opredelili na več načinov, ki so podkrepljeni z mnogimi uporabniškimi izkušnjami. Zagotovo pa je potrebno pričeti pri samem začetku Jave in tesni povezanosti tega jezika z objektno usmerjenostjo. V to delo so zato zajeti začetki in definicije koncepta »objekt« ter objektne usmerjenosti, predstavljen je tudi glavni temelj vseh objektno usmerjenih jezikov – programski jezik Simula. Magistrsko delo je namenjeno spoznavanju programskega jezika Java in njegove funkcionalnosti. Spoznamo vzrok za nastanek obravnavanega jezika, ki obstaja med drugim tudi v prenosljivosti določenega programa. Magistrsko delo cilja predvsem na funkcionalnost Jave na različnih področjih. Ta zajemajo med drugim poslovno inteligenco, umetno inteligenco, spletne rešitve in Android platformo. Cilj naloge je določiti tisti problem in tisto prednost programskega jezika Java, ki bosta z vidika teorije kot tudi z vidika empiričnega dela najbolj izstopala. Kmalu spoznamo, da uporabniki kot problem Jave predstavljajo svoje pogoste težave pri razvijanju Android aplikacij. Ugotovimo še, da je razlog za nastanek tega jezika v bistvu tudi ključna prednost v očeh mnogih razvijalcev in inženirjev.

Secondary abstract:	The functionality of the Java programming language could be defined in several ways backed up by many user experiences. However, it is certainly necessary to start at the very beginning of Java and the close connection of this language with the object orientation. This work therefore covers the beginnings and definitions of the “object” concept and object orientation, and it also presents the main foundation of all object-oriented languages – the programming language Simula. The master's thesis is intended for learning about the Java programming language and its functionality. We also get to know the reason for the emergence of the language in question, which ultimately exists in the portability of a particular program. The master's thesis focuses mainly on the functionality of Java from various fields. These include, among others, business intelligence, artificial intelligence, web solutions and the Android platform. The aim of the task is to determine the problem and the advantage of the Java programming language that will stand out the most from the point of view of theory as well as from the point of view of empirical work. We soon realize that users present their common problems in developing Android applications as a key problem for Java. We also find that the reason for the emergence of this language is the key advantage in the eyes of many developers and engineers.
