Abstract

V diplomskem delu z naslovom Razumevanje naravoslovnih pojavov izhlapevanja in kondenzacija vode v predšolskem obdobju smo preučevali in ugotavljali, kako poteka spoznavanje in razumevanje naravoslovnih pojavov pri predšolskem otroku. V teoretičnem delu naloge smo predstavili kurikularne naravoslovne dejavnosti v vrtcu in vlogo vzgojitelja, ki vpliva na proces učenja predšolskega otroka. Obravnavali smo zakonitosti razvoja in metode učenja naravoslovja v predšolskem obdobju. Po Piagetu smo povzeli kognitivno razvojno teorijo otroka. Predstavili smo pojmovanja otrok v predšolskem obdobju. Povzeli smo raziskave avtorjev, ki so v svojih delih raziskovali in opisovali predstave predšolskih otrok o procesih izhlapevanja in kondenzacije vode. V praktičnem delu diplome smo z otroki, starimi od 2 do 6 let, izvajali naravoslovne dejavnosti, pri katerih so otroci spoznavali pojava izhlapevanje in kondenzacija vode. Otroci so z aktivnim in raziskovalnim načinom učenja pri naravoslovnih dejavnostih razvijali razumevanje naravoslovnih pojavov. Razumevanje otrok smo preverjali z intervjuji, ki smo jih izvajali pred dejavnostjo in ob zaključku. Po potrebi tudi med dejavnostjo. Na podlagi odgovorov otrok smo ugotavljali, kako so otroci spoznavali in spreminjali mišljenje o naravoslovnih pojavih. Ugotovljeno je bilo, da so otroci s konkretnimi izkušnjami pridobili nova znanja o kroženju vode. Razvijali so nove koncepte in spreminjali lastna znanja.

Secondary abstract: In the diploma paper entitled Understanding of natural phenomena of water condensation and evaporation in the preschool years, we researched how preschool children learn about and understand natural phenomena. In the theoretical part, we presented natural science activities based on the curriculum and the role of a kindergarten teacher who influences the learning process of preschool children. We addressed the laws of development and natural science teaching methods in preschool years. We summarized Piaget's Theory of Cognitive Development and presented children's concepts in preschool years. We summarized studies of different authors who researched and described preschool children's concepts of water evaporation and condensation. In the empirical part, we performed natural science activities with children aged 2 to 6 years in which they learned about water evaporation and condensation. Children had an opportunity to learn about natural phenomena through researching and active learning. We analyzed children's understanding through interviews performed before and after each activity - also during an activity if necessary. Based on children's answers we determined how children learned about and changed their opinion of natural phenomena. It was determined that with concrete experience children gained new knowledge about water circulation. They developed new concepts and expanded their own knowledge.
