Abstract

Secondary title: Thermoplastic and thermosetting polymers
Secondary abstract: Today, we cannot imagine life without polymers. These can be divided according to thermal behaviour into two groups: thermosets and thermoplastics. Thermoplastics become plastic when heated and can be reshaped, unlike thermosets, which become rigid when heated and can no longer be reshaped. We use them to make pipes, cables, foils, windows, seals, bathtubs, electrical wiring and we could list more. In this work, we give an overview of the characteristics of thermosets and thermoplastics and their applications.
