Abstract

Transportni sektor se danes sooča z vse strožjim zaostrovanjem predpisov s področja izpustov okolju škodljivih emisij, kar je panogo transporta prisilo v prevzemanje novih pristopov. Platooning je perspektivna tehnologija predvsem zaradi potenciala, ki ga takšna rešitev prinaša na področju varnosti v prometu, bolj tekočega odvijanja prometa, porabe goriva in na področju onesnaževanja okolja. Prav zaradi tega smo v našem delu naredili pregled prometne politike na ravni Evropske unije, na kratko predstavili relevantne predpise s področja cestnega prometa in varovanja okolja ter pregledali, kako je avtonomna vožnja opredeljena v zakonodaji. Nadalje smo predstavili delovanje platooninga in primere dobrih praks oziroma prvih testiranj te tehnologije v vsakdanjih razmerah. Na koncu smo naredili še izračune, kako bi uporaba platooninga v vsakdanu vplivala na porabo goriva in izpuste emisij ogljikovega dioksida tako v evropskem kot tudi v slovenskem sektorju cestnega tovornega prometa. Ugotovili smo, da je platooning vsekakor perspektivna tehnologija, saj pripomore k zniževanju porabe goriva, kakor tudi k zniževanju emisij ogljikovega dioksida, poleg tega pa pozitivno vpliva na prometno varnost in pretočnost prometa.

Secondary abstract: Today, the transport sector is facing increasingly stringent regulations in the field of emissions of environmentally harmful emissions, which has forced the transportation industry to adopt new approaches. Platooning is a promising technology mainly due to the potential in the field of traffic safety, smoother traffic flow, fuel consumption and in the field of environmental pollution. We have reviewed the transport policy at the level of European Union, briefly presented the relevant regulations in the field of road transport and environmental protection and reviewed how autonomous driving is defined in legislation. Furthermore, we presented how platooning works and examples of good practices or first test of platooning under everyday conditions. At the end, we made calculations how the use of platooning in everyday life would affect fuel consumption and carbon dioxide emissions in European Union and Slovenian road freight transport sector. We have found that platooning is definitely a promising technology, as it helps to reduce fuel consumption as well as reduce carbon dioxide emissions and also has a positive effect on a traffic safety and traffic flow.
