Abstract

Mariborska soseska Nova vas je bila zgrajena v osemdesetih letih in je še danes četrt z velikim deležem prebivalstva. Prepredena je s številnimi javnimi površinami, kjer so bile včasih trgovine, trafike in parki. Število javnih površin se je krčilo. Ključna ugotovitev v soseski Nova vas II je, da so divja parkirišča v soseski zelo problematična, ker so postali avtomobili sestavni del vsake družine (marsikatera ima več kot enega). Velik del javnih površin se je spremenil v divja parkirišča, ki pa negativno vplivajo na izgled in bivalno ugodje v soseski. Garažni hiši imata propadajočo konstrukcijo in tako nista povsem uporabni. Prehodi, ki so prej služili boljši povezljivosti soseske, so zdaj zagrajene ropotarnice. Pešpoti, ki so bile včasih ponos soseske, so sedaj gmota pločevine in tako neprehodne. Rešitev v urbani soseski Nova vas II je, da se postavijo pogrezljivi valji oziroma urbanistične prepreke na vseh vstopnih točkah v osrčje soseske in se tako umakne avtomobile nazaj na urejena parkirišča. S sanacijo obeh garažnih hiš bi pa pridobili nova parkirna mesta, ki so v soseski Nova vas II. potrebna. Degradirana območja v soseski Nova vas II bi prenovili v zelene površine. Ureditev pešpoti je ključnega pomena, saj s tem poveča pretočnost soseske. Potrebna je tudi posodobitev urbane opreme ter ureditev zelenih površin okrog njih.

Secondary abstract: The Maribor discrict Nova vas II was built in the 1980s and remains a district with a large number of the population. It is covered with many public surfaces where stores, kiosks and parks used to be located. The number of public areas has decreased. A key finding in the district Nova vas Ii is that illegal parking in the district is causing many problems since cars have become an integral part of every family (many having more than one). A large part of public surfaces has turned into illegal parking spaces which has a negative influence of the appearance and the comfort of living in the district. The parking garages have a decaying construction and are no longer fully usable. Crossings which were once used to better connect the district are now blocked off junk areas. Walkways which were once the pride of the district are now pilled with cars and are unusable. The solution fort the district Nova vas II is to plaxe retractable bollards or urban barriers at all entry points into the heart of the district, thus forcing cars to move back to regulated parking areas. By renovating both parking garages, we would gain new parking spaces which are very much required in the district Nova vas II. Degraded areas in the district Nova vas II would be transformed into green areas. The arrangement of the walkway is of crucial importance since it increases the flow through the district. A renovation of the urban equipment and arrangement of green areas around them is also necessary.
