Abstract

Magistrsko delo obravnava devetletno osnovnošolsko izobraževanje v Sloveniji in izvajanje kurikularne reforme na Hrvaškem, katere del je tudi uvedba devetletnega obveznega izobraževanja. Zaradi bližine Slovenije in Hrvaške ter skupne zgodovine držav so nas zanimale razlike in podobnosti med strokovnimi mnenji glede devetletnega osnovnošolskega izobraževanja. S pomočjo kvalitativne metode, z izvedbo pol strukturiranih intervjujev, smo tako med hrvaškimi kot med slovenskimi vzgojitelji in učitelji prvega vzgojno-izobraževalnega obdobja izvedli raziskavo o mnenjih in konkretnih izkušnjah z devetletnim osnovnošolskim izobraževanjem ter v zvezi z zgodnjim vstopom otrok v osnovno šolo. Zaradi vsebinsko različnih vprašalnikov smo naredili analizo izjav vsake ciljne skupine posebej, ostalo besedilo pa smo transkribirali, določili kodirne enote, posameznim enotam pripisali podobne pojme in jih osno kodirali. Želeli smo preveriti, kakšno je mnenje strokovnjakov s področja vzgoje in izobraževanja ter pedagoških delavcev o devetletni osnovni šoli skoraj dvajset let po njeni uvedbi v naši državi. Večina respondentk je med devetletno in osemletno osnovno šolo izbrala slednjo. Pokazal se je večinsko pozitiven odnos do izbirnih predmetov in nivojskega pouka, medtem ko je bila polovica respondentk naklonjena opisnemu ocenjevanju. Tudi glede idealne starosti otrok za vstop v šolo so mnenja intervjuvank deljena, a je po statističnih podatkih v Sloveniji vse več odlogov vpisa otrok v osnovno šolo. Velika večina vseh respondentk se strinja, da je kurikularna reforma v njihovi državi potrebna. V Sloveniji se pojavljajo predvsem težnje po reformi devetletne osnovne šole, saj ta ni izpolnila pričakovanj, na Hrvaškem pa je prisotna predvsem želja po modernejšem kurikulu, ki bi se približal evropskim standardom.

Secondary title: ǂThe ǂview of Slovenian and Croatian educators on the nine year primary school
Secondary abstract: The master's thesis deals with the existing nine-year primary education in Slovenia and the implementation of a curricular reform in Croatia. Given the proximity and common history of the countries, we wanted to obtain expert opinions on the matter. Semi-structured interviews with Slovenian and Croatian teachers, gave us their concrete experiences and attitudes towards children's early entry into primary school. Due to the different content of the questionnaires, we analysed the statements of each target group separately, and the remaining text was transcribed. Coding units were established, individual components were linked to similar terms, and finally, axial coding was used to construct linkages between the collected data. Considering that almost twenty years have passed since nine-year primary school has been implemented in our country, we were interested in finding out whether our respondents preferred nine-year primary school or eight-year primary school, only to find out that they preferred the latter. They expressed a positive attitude towards elective subjects and level classes, while half of the respondents were in favour of descriptive assessment. Their opinions were also divided regarding the ideal age for children to start school, but according to statistical data in Slovenia, there are more and more delays in enrolling children in primary school. The vast majority of respondents agreed that a curricular reform was necessary in their country. In Slovenia, the nine-year primary school did not meet their expectations, while in Croatia there is a desire for a more modern curriculum that meets European standards.
