diplomsko delo

Abstract

Posledice svetlobnega onesnaževanja se kažejo v degradaciji naravnega okolja, motečih astronomskih opazovanjih nočnega neba in ogrožajo varnost v prometu zaradi bleščanja. Omenjene občine in Slovenija vse preveč električne energije trošijo z neprimerno in odvečno javno razsvetljavo.

Secondary title: Light pollution in municipalities Šentjur, Šmarje pri Jelšah, Rogaška Slatina and Podčetrtek.
Secondary abstract: The thesis presents problems of light pollution, which environmentalists have been warning about for some time. Recent studies confirm that excessive and inappropriate lighting is not only a harm to our health, but also to other living beings. Consequences of light pollution are reflected in the degradation of the natural environment, in disturbing night sky astronomical observations and in traffic safety due to dazzling. These above mentioned municipalities and Slovenia use too much electricity over the inappropriate and unnecessary public lighting. The fact is that higher energy consumption contributes to the growth of greenhouse gas emissions and hence increases the greenhouse effect that have the impact on global climate changes. Therefore we need better lighting, which means using fully dimmable lamps that should be properly installed.
