(diplomsko delo)
Abstract
Otroci in ostala družina namreč potrebujejo zdravo in zadovoljno mamo/partnerko.

MENTAL DISORDERS IN POSTOPARTUM PERIOD |
Secondary abstract: |
Childbirth represents a major turning point in a woman’s life resulting in changes in both mental and physiological sphere. These, however, can be intertwined and thus cause different mental disorders in the postpartum period, manifesting themselves in various forms and intensities. The midwife, medical staff and immediate family should be aware of the fact that mild symptoms may develop over time into more severe forms of postpartum mental disorder (e.g. depression and psychosis) which need to be detected and treated in a timely manner. The purpose of this thesis is to present the types of pre-, inter- and postpartum problems, their impact on young mothers and the effectiveness of treatment. Mental disorders in the perinatal period usually do not last a lifetime and are manageable, but only when they are identified quickly enough and treated appropriately. Maternal awareness and timely action play a major role in this. As the postpartum problems are increasingly being talked about, we believe that in the future, more and more distress of women in labour will be detected in a timely and appropriate manner. It is important that a mother with any form of postpartum mental disorder is not left alone so that she can trust someone and get a proper help to solve her problems. |
