Abstract
Mladi vse več časa preživljajo pred računalniškimi zasloni, anonimnost spletnih platform pa jim daje zavetje in udobje, kar zvišuje pojavnost medvrstniškega nasilja.

Cyberbulling and its impact on primary school students |
Secondary abstract: |
The amount of cyber bullying is increasing annually and to a larger extent. The youth are spending more and more time behind computer screens and the anonymity of website platforms is giving them comfort and security, which prompts peer violence.
The option of hiding their identity is giving individuals additional strength and self-confidence and this combination quickly exceeds the levels of ‘’traditional’’ bullying. With ‘’traditional’’ bullying individuals have to publicly expose themselves, while the web gives them the option of harassing their victims from their safe space, without exposure and protected from other people’s judgement. As a result, the number of cyber bullies is increasing, because there are individuals that wouldn’t dare to publicly expose themselves in the real world and hence wouldn’t bully other people. The data gathered in the project Odklikaj! shows, that in the year 2018, 56 % of female students and 50 % of male students were exposed to cyber bullying in the last three years of primary school (Dretnik, 2019).
For the needs of the research three survey were created. One for the students, one for the professors and one for the youth detective from the Dolenjska region.
The research showed that cyber bullying is present among students from lower as well as from higher grades, regardless of their sex. It also showed that it includes a vast range of violent activities. |
