Abstract
Policijsko delo je eno bolj stresnih in tveganih del, policisti pa so v okviru svojih nalog večkrat izpostavljeni nepredvidljivim, nevarnim in travmatičnim situacijam. Če policisti niso usposobljeni za učinkovito obvladovanje stresa brez ustrezne organizacijske podpore, lahko privede do njihove izgorelosti. S študijo literature je v diplomskem delu predstavljena problematika stresa in izgorelosti v policiji, z metodo anketiranja pa se je preverjalo prisotnost stresa in izgorelosti na Policijski upravi Nova Gorica, poznavanje in uporaba metod za zmanjševanja stresa ter povezava med obsegom dela in stopnjo stresa. Rezultati raziskave kažejo, da je stres na PU Nova Gorica prisoten v veliki meri, sodelujoči pa imajo malo oziroma srednje dovolj znanja glede stresa in izgorelosti, poleg tega pa se znajo le srednje dobro soočiti s stresom in ga obvladati. Izgorelost ni prisotna v visoki meri. Sodelujoči uporabljajo osnovne metode za zmanjševanje stresa in le srednje dobro poznajo ostale metode. Glede na rezultate bi bilo smiselno organizirati delavnice tehnik sproščanja in strokovna predavanja na temo stresa. Nujna je večja pozornost s strani organizacije, in sicer z ugotavljanjem/merjenjem prisotnosti stresa in izgorelosti med zaposlenimi.

Analysis of stress and burnout in Police Department Nova Gorica |
Secondary abstract: |
Police officer is one of the most stressful and dangerous professions. They are often exposed to unpredictable, dangerous and traumatic situations. If they are not trained to effectively manage stress without adequate organizational support, it can lead to their burnout. The thesis presents the issue of stress and burnout in the police based on literature study. Through a survey method it measures the presence of stress and burnout, knowledge/use of stress reduction methods and the relationship between workload and stress at the Nova Gorica Police Department. The research shows that stress is largely present at the Nova Gorica Police Department, and that the participants have little/medium knowledge about stress and burnout. Their knowlege of stress coping and managing mechanisms is moderate. Burnout is not present to a high extent. Participants use basic stress reduction methods and are moderately familiar with other methods. Based on the results, workshops on stress and relaxation techniques are recommended. Greater attention from the organization is required - mostly through identifying/measuring the presence of stress and burnout among employees. |
