Abstract

V diplomskem delu obravnavamo problematiko mladih na trgu dela in njihovo brezposelnost, ki je posledica zahtevnega vključevanja na precej velik in spreminjajoč trg dela. Brezposelnost med mladimi nima le kratkoročnih, ampak tudi dolgoročne posledice, zaradi katerih mladi sprejemajo fleksibilne in manj varne oblike dela. Ravno nezadovoljstvo na domačem trgu dela velikokrat privede do migracij mladih v tujino, kjer iščejo boljše možnosti za delo in življenje. Namen diplomskega dela je preučiti mlade na trgu dela in določiti njihove značilnosti ter stanje brezposelnosti mladih v Sloveniji. Cilj diplomskega dela je raziskati položaj mladih na trgu dela in migracije ter ugotoviti, kako na migracije vplivajo dejavniki, kot so spol, starost in pridobljena stopnja izobrazbe. V teoretičnem delu smo z deskriptivno metodo opredelili definicije mladih, mladosti, mladih na trgu dela, njihovo brezposelnost ter migracije kot možno posledico brezposelnosti. V raziskovalnem delu pa smo s podatki, pridobljenimi na Statističnem uradu Republike Slovenije, poiskali odgovore na zastavljena raziskovalna vprašanja. Ugotovili smo, da spol, starost in pridobljena stopnja izobrazbe v določeni meri vplivajo na izseljevanje v tujino. Predlagamo, da Republika Slovenija nadaljuje s programi za zaposlovanje mladih, saj podatki kažejo na to, da ti programi ugodno vplivajo na zadrževanje mlade delovne sile v Sloveniji.

Secondary abstract: The thesis addresses the problems of young people in the labour market and their unemployment, which is the result of demanding integration into a fairly large and changing labour market. Youth unemployment has not only short-term but also long-term consequences that make young people accept flexible and less safe forms of work. It is precisely the dissatisfaction in the domestic labour market that often leads to the migration of young people abroad, where they are looking for better opportunities for work and life. The purpose of the thesis is to investigate young people in the labour market and their characteristics and the state of youth unemployment in Slovenia. The objectives of the thesis are to explore the situation of young people in the labour market, migration and how migration is influenced by factors such as gender, age and educational attainment. In the theoretical work, we used a descriptive method to define the definitions of young people, youth, young people in the labour market, their unemployment and migration as a possible consequence of unemployment. In the research work, we sought answers to the research questions asked with data obtained at the Statistical Office of the Republic of Slovenia. We found that gender, age and educational attainment have some influence on emigration abroad. We propose that the Republic of Slovenia continues with youth employment programmes, as the data show that these programmes have a beneficial impact on the retention of the young workforce in Slovenia.
