diplomsko delo
Abstract
Predvajali smo štiri različne velikosti istega enominutnega videoposnetka z razlinčnih razdalj in različnih naprav.

Performance analysis of WiFi Direct technology on mobile devices |
Secondary abstract: |
The majority of already existing applications that enable the user to stream video from their phone to their television use WiFi Direct technology. With the rise of video quality the video file size also rises, so the networks have become more and more congested. In this paper we analyze the network performance while streaming a video from four mobile devices to a television directly or via HDMI adapter. We streamed four differently sized versions of a one-minute video from different distances and different devices. We observed the quality of the streamed video, number of retransmitted frames, jitter and CPU utilization.
The conclusion of the analysis is that all but one device fair really well even in the most absurd scenarios. The one device that did not live up to the task had problems switching it's WiFi interface from 2,4 GHz and 5 GHz wireless network. |
