Ethics is very important in a business process, where its main holders are managers. The latter have to make sure that employees are acquainted with the ethics and take it into consideration. If a company wants to be successful, it has to be founded on reputation, knowledge and good relations in the environment. The main value has to be the company’s successfulness, and not personal interests.
Of course, ethics and morals are not obligatory, but recommended. They affect the company’s successfulness and relations among employees. It is also very important that the employees’ ethics is coordinated with the company’s ethics.
Ethical behavior is very important for our existence today and also for the future generations. Some are aware of this, others do not even want to hear about the ethics. Since we talk a lot about ethics and morals nowadays, stories about unethical behavior come to light very quickly, and this brings discredit on the company. For this reason, companies often decide for codes which may be different; they can include just a few simple rules that exist in the business world, or they can be very detailed. These codes are helpful for employees when they face ethical dilemmas at work.
In the insurance sector, frauds are the most common. From month to month, there are more and more frauds. The most common reason are straitened circumstances. In this way, some people want to improve their financial situation. The company Zavarovalnica Triglav, d. d., successfully fights against frauds. A lot of frauds are discovered already in the damage center that does not hand over a claim. Furthermore, the company also has proficient staff that shows up frauds. |
