Abstract

V diplomski nalogi analiziramo primarne in sekundarne vire, izdelamo študijo primera in ugotavljamo, kako razvoj in uporaba brezpilotnih kopenskih vozil vplivata na delovanje in strukturo sodobnih vojsk. Uporabljeni primarni viri so vojaške doktrine ter strategije razvoja in uporabe v Združenih državah Amerike in Rusiji. Uporabljeni sekundarni viri pa so članki s področij zgodovine, razvoja, uporabe, implementacije in problematike brezpilotnih kopenskih vozil. Na začetku naloge razložimo osnovne pojme s področja brezpilotnih kopenskih vozil in opišemo začetke razvoja. V nadaljevanju se osredotočimo na vlogo brezpilotnih kopenskih vozil v vojski, njihove ciljne zmogljivosti delovanja, opredelimo vrste brezpilotnih vozil, pregledamo vključevanje v sodobne vojske in njihove naloge, na katere se tudi podrobneje osredotočimo. Ugotavljamo, kako se z implementacijo spreminja struktura delovanja vojaških enot in kako upravljanje takšnih vozil vpliva na vojaka-operaterja. V drugi polovici izdelamo študijo primera ZDA in Rusije, saj obe državi v sestavo in delovanje svoje vojske vključujeta tudi brezpilotna kopenska vozila. V študiji primera iščemo razlike in podobnosti med strategijama razvoja in uporabe brezpilotnih kopenskih vozil v izbranih državah.

Secondary title: Use of unmanned ground vehicles in modern armies
Secondary abstract: This undergraduate thesis analyses primary and secondary resources, carries out a case study, and tries to determine how the use and development of unmanned ground vehicles affect operations and structure of modern armies. Primary sources used are army doctrines, and strategies for development and use. Secondary sources used are articles on history, development, use, implementation, and problems of unmanned ground vehicles. At the start, basic unmanned vehicle terminology is explained, and beginning advancements in this field are described. Secondly, it focuses on the role of unmanned ground vehicles in the army, its goals regarding the capacity to act, it defines different types of such vehicles, as well as their implementation in armies, and lastly outlines and describes their main tasks. This thesis tries to determine how the use of mentioned vehicles impacts human operator. The second half includes a USA and Russia case study - these countries were chosen because they are both integrating unmanned ground vehicles in their army. Similarities and differences between the strategies for development and use of two chosen countries are reviewed.
