Abstract

V procesu sprejema bolnika v urgentni center predstavlja triaža pomemben del v procesu nudenja nujne medicinske pomoči. Hitra razvrstitev v triažo in pravilna določitev bolnikove resnosti bolezni omogočita pravočasni začetek terapevtskih posegov in izboljšata izid zdravljenja.

Secondary title: The role of triage nurse in treating a patient with sepsis
Secondary abstract: Despite effective antibiotics to treat infections, the incidence of sepsis has been increasing in recent decades. Mortality in patients with sepsis depends on whether we recognize the signs of sepsis early enough and provide early and appropriate treatment, that often begins in the emergency center. In the process of admitting patient to an emergency center, triage represents an important part in the process of providing emergency medical care. Rapid classification into triage and correct determination of the patient's severity of the disease enable fast initiation of therapeutic interventions and improve the outcome of treatment. This is important, because sepsis may not be clearly visible when patient arrives. The need for additional education about sepsis is urgently needed. However, MTS needs to be adapted according to the patients and the experience of healthcare professionals.
