Abstract

Dobro usklajen in multidisciplinaren odziv bo zmanjšal posledice izbruha.

Secondary title: Awarness of nursing care students about noroviroses
Secondary abstract: In our research, we described noroviruses, what is its clinical picture, diagnosis and treatment. We also presented measures to prevent norovirus infections and described the role of the nurse in managing this disease. Methods: The research was based on a quantitative methodology. In the empirical part, we used a questionnaire, which was used to obtain data on the awareness of nursing students about noroviruses. Results: Research has shown that nursing students are satisfactorily aware of different ways of virus transmission, clinical picture, diagnosis, and susceptibility to the disease. As many as 98.6 % of students recognized appropriate ways to control and prevent norovirus infections. They are only less aware of the existence of the vaccine, 21.1 % of them still believe that the vaccine exists in Slovenia. Discussion and conclusion: Nurses and other medical staff should be well informed and trained about the proper measures to prevent this disease, as outbreaks can
