Abstract

Obogatena resničnost je tehnologija, ki si je utrla pot v naša življenja na različnih področjih. Predstavlja način vizualnega prikaza različnih tipov informacij, kar pomaga človeku, da si jih lažje zapomni in jih razume. Zato je aplikabilna na scenarije od zabavne industrije pa vse do kritičnih sektorjev. To delo predstavi pregled obogatene resničnosti od njene zgodovine, tehnologij, ki jo podpirajo in njenih tipov, do primerov uporabe. Naslovi možnosti uporabe obogatene resničnosti v sektorju javne varnosti in izzive, ki jih tehnologija srečuje na poti na tem področju. Nenazadnje, delo predlaga in predstavi rešitev za implementacijo obogatene resničnosti v 112 aplikacijo za državljane.

Secondary abstract: Augmented reality is a technology that paved its way into our lives in different areas. It visually presents various types of information, which helps people memorize and understand it better. Therefore it applies to scenarios from the entertainment industry to critical sectors. This thesis presents an overview of augmented reality, from its history, technologies supporting it, and its types to use cases. It addresses the possibilities of augmented reality in the public safety sector and the challenges this technology faces in phases of adoption in this area. Finally, the thesis proposes and presents a solution for implementing augmented reality functionality into a 112 emergency application for citizens.
