Abstract

Secondary title: ǂThe ǂproposal of technical guidelines fort he plannig of shared street spaces
Secondary abstract: As part of the master's thesis, the field of shared streets planning is discussed, where the typical rules of road planning design do not apply. In Slovenia, there are no specific technical guidelines for the planning of shared streets, which are often called "shared spaces", to which designers could refer in the planning phase. For this reason, the design of the space often depends only on the individual person (designer), who decides what the final product will look like and how it will function. Many examples from abroad have shown that this is not always the best way to universal planning and that a new system of planning approach is needed for this purpose, which mainly dictates that close cooperation must be established between designers and users themselves. The aim of the task is to make proposals for the establishment of a system that has a better approach to universal planning and to make proposals for essential technical guidelines for the planning of common transport areas, which could be implemented in the future.
