Abstract

Prva pomoč je oskrba, ki jo na kraju nesreče/dogodka dobi pacient/ponesrečenec. Traja vse do prihoda nujne medicinske pomoči, običajno pa je izvedena s pomočjo enostavnih pripomočkov ter improvizacije. Je življenjsko pomembna, saj pomaga zmanjšati število poškodb ter trpljenje pacienta/ponesrečenca, poleg tega pa izboljša verjetnost preživetja poškodovanca oziroma obolelega.

Secondary abstract:	First aid is the treatment given to a patient/injured person by the first person at the scene of the accident/incident. It lasts until the arrival of emergency medical care and is usually carried out with the help of simple aids and improvisation. It is lifesaving as it helps reduce the number of injuries and the suffering of the patient/injured person. In addition, it increases the injured or ill person’s survival probability.
