Secondary title: | Postmodern psychosocial support and help in social work and positive psychology: a comparative analysis |
Secondary abstract: | In the first part of the diploma thesis I research the historical development of psychosocial support and help in social work and positive psychology. Separately, I present the different epistemologies that underlie their theoretical frameworks. I go on to describe some key theoretical concepts and practical approaches. In the following, I compare their epistemology and theoretical concepts based on the analysis of secondary sources. To compare practical approaches, I choose solution- focused family therapy and quality of life therapy. One of the findings is that some of the theoretical starting points and methods of the two approaches are very similar - I suggest ways to combine them. |
