Secondary abstract: | The poetry of Detela and Komelj puts forward the possibility of a radical transformation of relations between people and animals with a call for a critique of binary dualism. It demands from the reading subject a confrontation and aims as strengthening the readerŽs awareness of the ideological naturalisation of violence against animals. Attempts to widen the borders of sensibility do not rely on compassion, since elements of compassion instrumentalise poetry into a means of depoliticisation. |
