Abstract

Secondary title: Impact of COVID-19 epidemics on drugs using homeless in Goriška region
Secondary abstract: The Master's thesis consists of a theoretical introduction and a research part. In the theoretical introduction I study the concept of drugs, drug users, homelessness and pathways into homelessness. I present the base and the principles in social work for support in society during pandemics. In the research part I present the social context of life in the community of the Goriška region during the COVID-19 epidemic, which is important for understanding the testimonies of the interviewees. I carried out a qualitative research with a casual pattern of homeless drug users in the Goriška region. I interviewed six participants. I studied the life and needs of the interviewees. By doing this, I analysed the response of health and social services in the Goriška region and explored possible ways of improvement of the programs in future similar conditions as existed during the COVID-19 epidemic.
