Abstract

Secondary title: Theatre plays for the youngest
Secondary abstract: The theoretical part of the diploma thesis presents the importance of theatre and theatre activities or games for children in the first age period based on professional literature, especially at a time when their speech is still in the phase of development. It is important to provide a stimulating environment as well as give the child time and space for independent learning and investigation. Performing theatrical activities contributes to perception on all sensory levels. The role of educators is important; they have to be able to establish proper communication and play with children, to be able to create a pleasant atmosphere where children cooperate with joy and interest and learn to be tolerant of each other at the same time. This also develops creativity and imagination; and by mastering movement, children build on their self-image. We decided to prepare a stimulating environment in the kindergarten for creative theatre activities or games that will attract the youngest to participate. We believe that theatre is the wide space of a child, which allows each individual to find his or her own way of expression.
