Abstract
Pri obdelavi pokrova elektromotorja, ki se je vpeljeval v serijsko proizvodnjo, smo imeli problem z navijanjem odrezkov na orodje, zaradi česar se je stroj ustavljal. Pokrov je aluminijast ulitek okoli jeklene puše in v našem interesu je bilo, da ga obdelamo na enem stroju s čim manj različnimi orodji. Problem je nastal, ker smo zaradi različnosti materialov dobili neugodne odrezke pri obdelavi puše. Zato smo za problematično obdelavo testirali orodja različnih dobaviteljev pri različnih parametrih obdelave. Po testiranju smo vse vzorce pregledali in premerili, če so dosegli zadovoljiv nivo kakovosti obdelane površine po zahtevah kupca. Pod povečavo smo pregledali njihove rezalne ploščice, če je med testiranjem prišlo do obrabe. Analizirali smo stroške in čase obdelave za celotno naročilo kupca za vsako orodje posebej, nato pa jih razvrstili od najbolj do najmanj primernega. Ocenjevali smo jih glede na obliko odrezkov, kakovost obdelane površine, produktivnost, stroške obdelave, ceno in obrabo njihovih rezalnih ploščic po testiranju.

Optimization of chip formation in machining of electromotor housing |
Secondary abstract: |
We had a problem with chip formation when machining electromotor housing, because of which machine stopped working. Housing is made out of aluminium alloy surrounding a steel sleeve. It was in our best interest to machine the whole housing at one machine with minimal diffirent tools. But there was a problem because of difference between materials with chip formation when machining steel sleeve. We tried to solve this problem by testing different cutting tools by different suppliers at different machining parameters. After testing we checked and measured all test subjects to see if their surface quality suits buyers demands. We checked tools indexable inserts under magnifier to see if there were any signs of usage. We analysed the cost and time of machining for the whole order of products for every tool. At the end we arranged tools from best to worst fit based on chip formation, quality of machined surface, productivity, machining cost, tool cost and usage of indexable inserts after testing. |
