Abstract
Avtomobilska industrija ima v Evropi že od nekdaj pomembno vlogo, saj zaposluje
veliko število ljudi in obenem ustvarja pomemben del prihodkov. V nalogi nas je
zanimalo, kakšen je položaj evropskih proizvajalcev avtomobilov napram ameriškim in azijskim podjetjem. Izhajali smo iz dejstva, da se je v obdobju 2009–2019 položaj evropskih avtomobilskih podjetij poslabšal. Najprej smo se dotaknili teoretične podlage za določanje konkurenčnosti in konkurenčnih prednosti, nato pa smo preko podatkov, glede ustvarjenih prihodkov in prodaje ugotovili, da so bili evropski proizvajalci na koncu preučevanega obdobja v boljši poziciji kot pred desetimi leti. Naša preučevana podjetja so bila Volkswagen AG, Daimler AG ter Bayerische Motoren Werke (BMW) AG, ki so glede na prihodke najuspešnejša podjetja tako v evropskem kot v svetovnem merilu.

Secondary abstract: |
The automotive industry has always had an important role in Europe, because of the great number of people working in the industry and because of the important part of the revenue it generates. In the diploma thesis, we wanted to find out, what is the position of European carmakers in comparison to American and Asian companies. We proceeded from the fact, that the position of European car companies has worsened in the period 2009-2019. First, the theoretical base for determining competitiveness and competitive advantages is presented. Furthermore, the data about generated revenues and sales rates have shown that the position at the end of the European carmakers at the end of the period was better than at the beginning. Our studied companies were Volkswagen AG, Daimler AG, and Bayerische Motoren Werke (BMW) AG, which are Europe’s and world’s most successful companies regarding the revenue they generate. |
