Abstract

V teoretičnem delu smo opredelili športno kariero in njene vrednote. Predstavili smo model razvoja športne kariere po Wylleman, De Knop in Reints (2013). Opredelili smo gibalno-aktivno srednje in pozno razvojno obdobje otroka po različnih vidikih, kot so: telesni, psihološki, socialni in športni vidik razvoja otroka. Podrobneje smo opisali inicializacijsko stopnjo razvoja otroka. Izpostavili smo probleme zgodnje specializacije v športu, njene značilnosti in kako vpliva na otrokovo zdravje v daljšem časovnem obdobju. Izpostavili smo strokovnost, stališča in koncepte športnega starševstva ter pozitivne in negativne vplive vključevanja staršev v otrokov šport. V zadnjem delu teoretičnega uvoda smo opisali različne poglede različnih avtorjev in njihove ugotovitve v zvezi s temo diplomskega dela. V empiričnem delu smo z metodo pol strukturiranega intervjuja intervjuvali pet staršev, ki so trenerji in imajo sami otroka športnika, in pet staršev, ki sami niso trenerji in imajo otroka športnika. V sklepnem delu diplomskega dela smo podali lastna stališča glede raziskave, pridobljene s tem diplomskim delom.

Secondary title: Parents' view of the child's sports career development
Secondary abstract: Abstract The main purpose of the thesis was to explore parents' views on the development of a young athlete's career, and to compare parents who act as coaches and those who are not coaches themselves, but both have a child athlete. In the theoretical part, we defined a sports career and its values. We presented a model of sports career development according to Wylleman, De Knop and Reints (2013). We defined the motive-active middle and late developmental period of a child according to various aspects, such as physical, psychological, social and sports aspect of a child's development. We described the initialisation stage in more detail. We highlighted the problems of early specialisation in sport, its characteristics and how it affects a child's health in a longer period. We highlighted professionalism, standpoints and concepts of sports parenting, as well as the positive and negative impacts of parental involvement in the child's sport. In the last part of the theoretical introduction, we described the different views of different authors and their findings regarding the topic of the thesis. In the empirical pat, we interviewed five parents who are coaches and have their own child athlete and five parents who are not themselves coaches and have a child athlete. We used the semi-structured interview method. We designed the questions ourselves using the method of logical reasoning for the best, more concrete and credible answers. We first called the interviewees by phone and, based on their permits, arranged a meeting where we recorded the entire interview. Based on the answers we obtained from the interviews, we tested the set hypotheses. In the concluding part of the thesis, we presented our own views on the research obtained with this thesis.
