Abstract

Zaključna naloga obravnava optimizacijo proizvodnega in logističnega procesa polnjenja steklenic. V prvem delu zaključne naloge so popisane teoretične osnove in podrobneje analiziran obstoječi proces polnjenja steklenic. Za optimizacijo parametrov novo zasnovane polnilne linije smo uporabili simulacijski pristop s programskim orodjem Visual Components, v katerem smo izdelali digitalni dvojček realnega proizvodnega procesa in ga optimizirali.

Secondary title: Optimisation of production and logistics process of bottling using a digital twin
Secondary abstract: This thesis deals with the optimization of the production and logistics process of bottling. In recent times, use of simulation has seen increases in the optimization of production processes, especially discrete simulation. This has happened due to simulations enabling a quick and reliable overview of possible optimizations or changes in these processes. In the thesis we used a discret simulation to optimise the logistics and production process of a bottling line. The goal of the optimization was to automate the bottling line to increase it's capacity, improve the reliability and quality of bottling, and reduce the number of workers on the line. The first part of the thesis describes the theoretical foundations and analyzes, in-detail, the existing process of bottling. In the second part of the thesis, we designed an automated bottling line, including an automated logistic process of delivering empty bottles to the bottling line and transporting full bottles to the warehouse. To optimize the parameters of the newly-designed bottling line, we used a simulation approach using the Visual Components software, in which we created a digital twin of the real production process and optimized it. Using this optimization, we achieved a shortening of the working cycle of the bottling line and an increase in its capacity by more than 250%, as well as a reduction in the number of workers on the bottling line by more than 90%.
