Abstract

Večina spletnih strani ima potrese prikazane samo v obliki tabel, ki ponujajo le numerični prikaz, zato, smo se odločili, da naredimo vizualni prikaz potresov. V diplomskem delu smo izdelali spletno aplikacijo, kjer se osredotočamo na vizualni prikaz potresnega območja Slovenije in Hrvaške. Prikaz obsega iskanje potresov po datumih nastanka iz dveh različnih virov. Izdelan je tudi grafični prikaz analize potresov leta 2020, posebej za Slovenijo in Hrvaško. Zajema število potresov po mesecih, prikaz potresov na zemljevidu in graf magnitud. Za izdelavo le-teh grafičnih elementov smo uporabili knjižnico D3.js.

Secondary title: Using D3.js library to visualize seismic activity of the area
Secondary abstract: Most of the websites only display earthquakes in tables with numerical displays. Therefore, we decided to implement a visual representation of earthquakes. In this thesis, we have created a web application in which we focus on the visual representation of Slovenian and Croatian seismic area. The display allows filtering earthquakes by date of occurrence from two different sources. A graphic analysis presentation of the year 2020’s earthquakes has been made for Slovenia and Croatia, including the number of earthquakes by months, an earthquake display on a map and a magnitude graph. We used the D3.js library to create these graphical elements.
