Suzana Tratnik: Ime mi je Damjan, Nataša Sukič: Molji živijo v prahu in Ljuba Prenner: Bruc: Roman neznanega slovenskega študenta
Abstract

Transgerderism through Text and Context |
Secondary abstract: |
The Master's thesis focuses on the topic of transgenderism in selected Slovenian novels, namely My Name is Damjan by Suzana Tratnik, Moths Live in the Dust by Nataša Sukič and Freshman: The Novel by an Unknown Slovene Student by Ljuba Prenner. The Master's thesis starts with the theory of gender and it later focuses on the discussion of texts and the wider context, which includes literary producers, literary intermediaries, and literary recipients. We come to the conclusion that literary communication context is essential for the proper understanding and acceptance of the selected works, where a particularly important role is played by literary authors and literary critics, who provide the interpretation of works, place them correctly and present them to pave their way towards the readers. |
