Abstract

Secondary abstract: Alcohol is linked with many harmful consequences on physical, mental, spiritual and social area of relations. These can hurt individual, his family, friends, coworkers and the whole society. Most of all this syndrom of addictivity from alcohol is a big public health problem, which doesn't affect only the health state of a population, but also it's activity, absence from work, safety at traffic and work. To measure the severity level of alcohol consumation and it's harmful effect on individuals life we have standardised questionnaires, appropriate conversations with the patient, clinical examination and certain tests, sometimes we get results by heteroanamnesis. In thesis we will present adiction from alcohol (epidemiology of alcohol addiction, factors which contribute on the formation of addiction from alcohol, neurobiological mechanisems, diagnostification syndroms, motivation and motivational steps in treatment, psychotherapy in the process of addiction, usage of medification during medical treatnent, recidivism, organisation of alcohol addiction treatment in Slovenia – three phases, preparation phase, intensive psychotherapy, continuing treatment and rehabilitation- AA- Alcoholics Anonymous , KZA- treatment club of alcoholics). Goal of graduation thesis is to answer on all research tasks, how successful is the rehabilitation of the treated alcoholics, with observation in the frame of KZA and how with the help and observation of AA. We would like to figure out if the patients can maintain abstinence, what's their view on the group, their propositions of improvements, thoughts of ways to lesser the number of recidivism and how groups affect people of different ages, that are a part of one or another group. Considering the small number of patients in both groups, I was forced to unite the quantitative and qualitative approach of research. To gather information we used survey questionnaire and focus interview with patients and their close ones in both groups.
