Abstract

V diplomskem delu smo predstavili vlogo medicinske sestre v otroški zobozdravstveni preventivi ter navade predšolskih otrok v skrbi za ustno zdravje v mestu in na podeželju. Predstavljene so tudi najpogostejše bolezni zob predšolskega otroka. V drugem delu so predstavljeni rezultati raziskave, ki smo jo izvedli v Vrtcu Kozje in Bistrica ob Sotli ter v Vrtcu Anice Černejeve v Celju- Enota Luna in Enota Mavrica v mesecu marcu 2009. Namen raziskave je bil ugotoviti v kolikšni meri si otroci umivajo zobe ter ali starši dobijo informacije o pravilni ustni higieni s strani medicinske sestre. Rezultate smo pridobili z vprašalnikom odprtega in zaprtega tipa, razdeljenim med 15 naključno izbranih staršev v vsakem vrtcu, ki so želeli prostovoljno sodelovati pri izpolnjevanju anonimne ankete. Dobljene rezultate smo preučili in grafično prikazali. Rezultati so pokazali, da si 99% otrok umiva zobe. Ugotovili smo, da so starši v mestu bolje seznanjeni s pomenom umivanja zob s strani medicinske sestre. Ugotovili smo tudi, da je vključenost medicinske sestre na področju informiranja o zobozdravstveni preventivi zelo majhna.

Secondary abstract: The thesis presents the role of nurses in children’s dental prophylaxis and the habits of preschool children in dental health care in the city and in the country. Furthermore, the most frequent dental diseases in preschool children are presented. The second part of the thesis contains the results of the study conducted at the Kozje and Bistrica ob Sotli Nursery Schools, as well as the Anice Černejeve Nursery School in Celje — units Luna and Mavrica in March 2009. The aim of the study was to examine how often the children clean their teeth and whether the parents are informed about proper oral hygiene by the nurse. The results were acquired through a questionnaire with open and closed questions, distributed among 15 randomly selected parents in each nursery school, who participated voluntarily in the anonymous survey. The acquired results were closely examined and represented graphically. The results revealed that 99 % of children clean their teeth. It has been established that city parents are better informed about the importance of cleaning teeth by the nurse. Moreover, it has also been established that the role of the nurses in giving information on oral hygiene in very small.
