Abstract

V diplomskem delu so predstavljena obvezna in priporočljiva cepljenja v Sloveniji.

Secondary title: Obligatory and recommendable vaccinations in Slovenia
Secondary abstract: The thesis presents obligatory and recommendable advised vaccinations in Slovenia. All diseases that can be prevented through vaccination are described. A separate part describes the role of a nurse in working with vaccines, her educational function during vaccination and the application of vaccines according to the process method. In the empirical part the results of the research conducted in 2009 among the students at the Faculty of Health Sciences are presented. The data was gathered with the help of an anonymous questionnaire. 50 students participated in the research. The aim was to establish the level of awareness among the students regarding the vaccination against human papilloma virus (HPV) and acquire various opinions on vaccination in general. The research has shown that most students know what HPV is, but are of the opinion that there is not sufficient information on the subject matter. Further, the prevailing opinion among the students is that HPV vaccination is too costly and would agree with compulsory HPV vaccination. The students also strongly believe in the importance of health education in the field of vaccination.
