Abstract

Cilj diplomskega dela je bil pripraviti vozilo z vrtljivo kamero, na katerem je računalnik Raspberry Pi, in narediti aplikacijo za Android mobilno napravo, s katero bi lahko upravljali vozilo na daljavo preko brezžičnega internetnega omrežja. V diplomskem delu je najprej opisana zasnova celotnega projekta, uporabljena strojna in programska oprema. Nato je bolj podrobno predstavljena implementacija naše rešitve, kjer se predstavi kalibracija uporabljenih senzorjev, izračun orientacije s pomočjo algoritma Madgwick, zajem slike na vozilu in potek komunikacije med vozilom ter mobilno napravo. Na koncu diplomskega dela je opis testiranja, predstavitev dobljenih rezultatov in predlogi za možne izboljšave trenutne rešitve.

Secondary title: Mobile app for video-based remote vehicle control on Raspberry Pi
Secondary abstract: Aim of this thesis was to prepare a remotely controlled vehicle with a rotatable camera, based on Raspberry Pi computer, and create an Android app with which the vehicle could be controlled via wireless internet network. First part of the thesis describes the design of whole project along with hardware and software used in it. Second part illustrates the implementation of our solution – calibration of sensors, calculation of orientation with the use of the Madgwick algorithm, capturing of image on vehicle and communication between vehicle and a mobile device. The final part of the thesis consists of explanation of tests, description of results and possible improvements of the current solution.
