Abstract

Uporabili smo opisno oziroma deskriptivno metodo dela. Izvedli smo sistematični pregled literature. Literaturo smo iskali v treh tujih podatkovnih bazah – Medline, Cinahl in Web of Science. Za iskanje smo si zastavili izključitvene in vključitvene kriterije. Izvedli smo kritično oceno člankov in naredili vsebinsko analizo.

Secondary title: Nurse´s activities for ensuring patient safety during patient handover from operating room
Secondary abstract: The treatment of a surgical patient is very different overall from that of patients in other healthcare fields. During a hospital stay, the patient passes between a large number of healthcare professionals who need to pass information about the patient to each other. A key point is the post-operative handover, when the patient is transferred from the operating theatre to the ward of choice. The aim of the final part is to present the nurse's activities to ensure patient safety in the context of handover from the operating theatre. We used a descriptive or descriptive method of work. We conducted a systematic literature review. The literature was searched in three foreign databases - Medline, Cinahl and Web of Science. We set exclusion and inclusion criteria for the search. We critically appraised the articles and carried out a content analysis. We included 11 studies in the final review. Written handover tools, electronic handover, the socioecological model, avoiding multitasking during handover and communication are highlighted as the most important topics and interventions that the nurse uses to ensure patient safety during handover. By taking into account the interventions highlighted in the area of communication between healthcare professionals and the use of dedicated tools, the degree of patient safety ensured during handover from the operating theatre is increased. More complete and accurate information is an important factor.
