Abstract

Secondary title: Electromagnetic compatibility testing of household appliances
Secondary abstract: The purpose of this thesis is to study the methods of testing electronic household appliances and the process of testing as a whole according to the relevant standards. According to expectations, it can be assumed, that the testing itself complies with all the prescribed standards and deviates only in small, unspecified points, if at all. In order to confirm this, it is essential to carefully observe the entire testing process and if possible, to execute all the tests ourselves to gain first-hand experience. It is necessary to address each test individually and also all the tests as a whole and with this in mind compare them with the standard. During the process of writing this thesis, we came to the conclusion, that tests are performed in accordance with the standards and that they do not deviate from the standards except in the order in which they are performed based on the experience of the engineers performing these tests. In order to preserve privacy and sensitive information, it was necessary to censure the model, manufacturer, and the appearance of the appliance used in this thesis. In addition, it was necessary to exclude the results of the tests of the tested appliance.
