Abstract

V diplomskem delu smo preučili, kako poteka neverbalna komunikacija pri računalniško posredovani komunikaciji, kateri nadomestki neverbalne komunikacije se največkrat uporabljajo in s kakšnim namenom se ti uporabljajo na družbenem omrežju Facebook. V empiričnem delu smo s spletnim anketnim vprašalnikom ugotovili, kako pogosto in s kakšnim namenom (samoizražanje, golo dejstvo, odnos, poziv) se generacija X srečuje s tremi neverbalnimi nadomestki komunikacije (emotikoni, »GIF-i« in nalepkami). To smo ugotavljali za tri različne tipe prijateljstev (najboljši, naklonjeni in tesni prijatelj) na spletnem družbenem omrežju Facebook. Rezultati so pokazali, da se pri generaciji X v največji meri uporabljajo emotikoni, neverbalni nadomestki pa se najpogosteje uporabljajo za samoizražanje. Naši rezultati služijo vsem uporabnikom Facebooka, ki želijo uporabljati napredne načine neverbalne komunikacije na spletnem družbenem omrežju Facebook, in vsem raziskovalcem, ki bi želeli narediti podobne raziskave na drugih družbenih omrežjih ali na drugi populaciji.

Secondary abstract: In this diploma thesis, we examined how non-verbal communication takes places in computer-mediated communication, which substitutes for non-verbal communication are most often used and for what purpose they are used on the social networking site Facebook. In the empirical part, we used a questionnaire to find out how often and for what purpose (self-revelation, factual information, relationship and appeal) Generation X encounters three nonverbal substitutes (emoticons, »GIF-s« and stickers). We found this for three diffrent types of friendship (best, affectionate and close friend) on the social networking site Facebook. The results showed that in Generation X, emoticons are used the most, and nonverbalsubstitutes are most commonly used for self-expression. Our results serve all Facebook users who want to use advanced methods of nonverbal communication through the netrworking site Facebook and all researchers who would like to do similar research on other social networks or on a diffrent population.
