Abstract

Secondary title: Factors of economic growth in the European economies
Secondary abstract: The present thesis includes explanations of economic growth in economic theory from the classical, neoclassical and Keynesian point of view, as well as endogenous growth theory. Following the statistical review of economic growth dynamics in Luxembourg, Germany, Italy, Greece, Portugal, Ireland and Norway in the period 1995-2020, the work includes an analysis of quantitative and qualitative factors of economic growth from the supply and demand side. In the light of statistical analysis, tertiary education, international openness, employment, investment in research and development, the volume of investment expenditure and participation in lifelong learning have been found to have an important role in the process of economic growth in the observed countries. More prosperous economies also record lower levels of corruption and the spread of the rule of law.
