Abstract

Potek iskanja literature smo prikazali s PRISMA diagramom, rezultate smo sintetizirali z uporabo metode vsebinske analize. Pacienti so zadovoljni z izidom operacije.

Secondary title: Quality of life after operation of carpal tunnel syndrome
Secondary abstract: Introduction: Carpal tunnel syndrome, is the most common median nerve compression neuropathy at wrist level. It is most commonly treated surgically by relaxing the nerve in the hope of a positive outcome. The outcome is also influenced by other factors such as: chronic illness, mental and physical pressures. The purpose of the final work was to describe quality of life after operation of carpal tunnel syndrome. Methodology: We used a descriptive method of work. We used a systematic review of the literature mixed methods. We also used exclusion and inclusion criteria when searching for literature. The literature search process was presented with a PRISMA diagram, and the results were synthesized using content analysis methods. We used the JBI tool for critically analysis. Results: Out of 519 identified hits 12 studies were included in the final analysis, all of them was of which was quantitative. When we analyzed the data, we formed subcategories, namely: (1) hand function, (2) pain, (3) quality assessment, (4) quality improvement interventions. We grouped the subtopics into the main category: quality of life after carpal tunnel syndrome surgery. Discussion and conclusion: The patient's quality of life improves after surgery. They must receive good instructions, which they must follow carefully, as this further helps to improve the quality of life after the operation. Patients are satisfied with the outcome.
