Abstract

Pametni dom je kombinacija računalniških, nadzornih in komunikacijskih tehnologij, ki so povezane preko omrežja z namenom avtomatizacije celotnega sistema za zagotavljanje upravljanja, optimizacije in prilagoditve naprav in njihovih funkcij. V diplomski nalogi predstavimo pametne domove, njihov koncept, prednosti in slabosti.

Secondary abstract: A smart home is a combination of computer, controlling, and communication technologies that are connected through the network and automatized to provide control, optimization, and adjustment of the devices and their functions. In this thesis, we will present the concept of smart homes and their advantages and disadvantages. We will also provide an insight into their security: advantages and disadvantages, threats and dangers, unexpected issues, and possible solutions on the dark web. The main part of this thesis is composed of a questionnaire about the Slovenian users’ habits and familiarity with smart devices’ configuration. After the analysis, we established that most users are aware of the importance of smart devices’ security and protection. They are also acquainted with the devices well enough to be aware of the possible dangers regarding their usage.
