Abstract

Podatki so bili analizirani z deskriptivno in inferenčno statistiko. Razprava in sklep: Rezultati raziskave so primerljivi z rezultati drugih podobnih študij. Izgorelosti med zdravstvenimi delavci moramo posvečati pozornost, saj predstavlja tveganje za manj kakovostno obravnavo pacientov in fluktuacijo kadra.

Secondary title: Burnout of general practice employees regarding patient load
Secondary abstract: Introduction: The workload of family medicine clinics is defined by the patient load and the corresponding number of patient load quotients, which are on average as much as a third higher than the norm. This puts much pressure on employees and increases the risk of developing burnout. This master thesis aimed to investigate the level of burnout of general practice employees regarding patient load. Methods: A cross-sectional study was done in one of the health centres (n = 83). A survey questionnaire consisting of a demographic poll and an Maslach Burnout Inventory questionnaire was chosen as the research instrument. Data were analysed with descriptive and inferential statistics. Results: Employees achieve a high level of burnout in the dimension of emotional exhaustion, while they achieve a moderate level of burnout in dimensions of personal fulfilment and depersonalization. A statistically significant association was found between burnout rate and occupational profile, with physicians achieving the highest burnout rate. No correlations were found between burnout rate and patient load, sex, age, and average annual sick leave. Discussion and conclusion: The results of the study are comparable to the results of other similar studies. Burnout among healthcare professionals needs to be addressed, as it poses a risk of lower quality patient care and staff turnover.
