Abstract

3-hidroksipiridin oziroma piridin-3-ol je pomemben derivat piridina. S podatki iz baze Cambridge Structural Database in programom Mercury smo preučili njegovo vezavo na bakrov ion. V enojedrnih in dvojedrnih kompleksih se na bakrov ion veže terminalno, prek dušikovega ali kisikovega atoma. V večjedrnih bakrovih koordinacijskih spojinah s 3-hidroksipiridinom opazimo terminalno ali mostovno vezavo, v nekaterih primerih pa celo obe – ena molekula je vezana mostovno, druga terminalno. Bakrove(II) ione v večjedrnih kompleksih povezujejo mostovno vezane molekule 3-hidroksipiridina tako, da se ligand veže na en bakrov(II) ion prek dušikovega in na sosednjega prek kisikovega atoma.

Secondary abstract: The binding mode of 3-hydroxypyridine to the copper ion was investigated using data from the Cambridge Structural Database and Mercury programmes. In mononuclear and dinuclear complexes, 3-hydroxypyridine terminally coordinates to the copper ion via a nitrogen or oxygen atom. In polynuclear copper complexes, terminal or bridging coordination modes are present, in some cases both; one molecule of 3-hydroxypyridine is a bridging ligand and the other is a terminal ligand. Copper(II) ions in polynuclear complexes are linked by bridging 3-hydroxypyridine molecules, with the ligand binding to a copper(II) ion via the nitrogen and to an adjacent copper(II) atom via an oxygen atom.
